Lifespace is a youth charity that supports the wellbeing of young people (7 to 19) so that they have the self-esteem, resilience and confidence to thrive. Our office is in Stratford-upon-Avon and we work across South/Mid Warwickshire.
We believe that young people are amazing and should be able to get the support they need as soon as life gets tough and for as long as they need it. This is part of our
Vision, Mission and Values which we refreshed in 2021 with young people, staff and volunteers.
Our committed team of
staff and volunteers support young people in one of four ways:
1: Mentoring
2: Group activities
3: Leadership opportunities
4: Supervision to school DSL and Pastoral staff
We run these programmes in schools, online and in the community.
Mentoring is our most established programme.
In 2024/25 our mentors supported 465 young people for an average of 9.3 hours each.
This year, responding to a growing need for 'earliest interventions' we made a strategic move to increase workshops in primary and secondary schools.
We supported 201 group sessions to 1,079 children and young people. This included 24 primary transition workshops to 612 children and 15 secondary workshops - including exam stress, peer listening and friendships and worries - to a further 265 young people. We're always open to working in new ways with new partners. Get in touch with our CEO, Lisa Carroll, at lisa.carroll@lifespace.org.uk if you'd like to discuss how we can support the amazing young people in your community.
