Join our Youth Panel: For Young People By Young People

Finding things tough? You're not alone. We can tell you that things can and do get better, when you have the right support at the right time. For some of us that was a Lifespace Mentor. For others it was a Mentor and other agencies like the GP or RISE. It wasn't always easy - infact it mostly wasn't easy - but honestly, things did get better.

Lifespace's Youth Advisory Panel:
Lifespace set up this Panel in November 2020 as part of their commitment to young people's involvement in everything they do, from the type of services they deliver to their plans for the future. They believe that the best people to tell them what works are the young people who have taken part in their programmes.

The Panel meets once a half-term, online. We have has five members and would love more young people with experience of being mentored by Lifespace to join us. Why?

1: Small, friendly group.
2: Not a support group! You can talk about your experiences but there isn't any pressure to.
3: Shared experiences - everyone in the group has been supported by a Lifespace mentor.
4: We can change the systems used to support wellbeing and mental health, at school and beyond.

The Panel has already made some changes and we want to recruit more members to reflect the diversity of the young people Lifespaces supports. Why not join us? Email hello@lifespace.org.uk to find out more. No pressure.
