What we do: Mentoring overview

Summary:
Lifespace provides mentors to work with young people. All our mentors are trained through an accredited course, individually supervised and CRB-checked. Lifespace has continuously carried the national Approved Provider Standard since 2005, as evidence of our safe & effective practice, and is an active member of the Mentoring & Befriending Foundation, the national strategic organisation.

Who is mentoring for?
Young people aged 10-19 in schools, colleges & community settings across the Stratford-on-Avon district who are wanting and ready to:
• overcome difficulties, tap into talents & restore relationships
• voice worries, enrich their communication, thinking & problem
solving skills
• extend their knowledge about issues important to them, and others
• boost their learning, attainment & just be more motivated
• make positive, safe and healthy lifestyle choices...so they get more of the good things they do want, and less of what they don’t want.
