People: Funders

How is Lifespace funded?

Lifespace is a voluntary initiative. We get no money from the Government. All our services are made possible through individual donations, grants and contributions from agencies towards what we provide. About 50% of our funding comes in through our Housing provision.

Who do we get grants from?
Stratford Town Trust (since 2005) have funded us each year and have been a tremendous support. Without their backing, Lifespace would not have flourished in the way it has.

Other significant grants have come from Four Acre Trust; Norton Foundation; Churches Together in England; Sheldon Trust; Woodlands Trust; Dulverton Trust. Sometimes these are one off grants and are not able to repeat fund. Local Rotary Clubs have also generously supported our work, especially Rotary Club of Stratford on Avon through the Shakespeare Marathon. WCVYS have provided grants for training development of our team. About 25% of our income is from grants and is very specific to what work it supports.

Donations

About 10% of our income comes from individual donations and our own fundraising events, such as having teams of runners in the Shakespeare Half and Full Marathon, and most recently a Charity Dinner at Alveston Manor Hotel (with help from Stratford Business Forum).

Our current grant funders are:
• Stratford Town Trust
• Four Acre Trust
• Norton Foundation
• Stratford upon Avon Rotary Club

Can you make a donation?

Yes, you are very welcome to do so. Individual donations create flexibility for us to meet additional needs for young people and families that sometimes go unnoticed by others and do not fall within grant makers priorities.

Either contact us or just go ahead and complete the donation form.
